E.L.D. Cornerstone is unique in that the founder and managing editor of the site and blog brings a vast range of experiences and educational diversity to the platform. E. A. Arrey, the founder, is a business consultant who serves as the CEO of a private business consulting firm; Capitals & Squares LLC. He has held several managerial positions in many institutions and companies, some of which include the University of Michigan, Wayne State University, Amnesty International, E.M.S. Group Inc. and more. His educational background is in information systems management, business, and manufacturing. Mr. Arrey attended Wayne State University and St Josephs College. In St Josephs College, an all male boarding college, he was exposed to literature, arts, history, and the power of elitism in society. There, he mentored after catholic priests and catholic brothers, and had an opportunity to appreciate fraternity as is common with such institutions. He is a lover of poetry, music, fine art, literature, politics, philosophy, and sociology. As a business consultant, Mr. Arrey has participated in the development of small and large companies across the United States. He has pioneered the engineering of technological advancements such as the Voyager™ spray system and more. His drive to create E.L.D. Cornerstone came from his appreciation for life by virtue of his experiences in the business world combined with the lessons learnt from growing up in a capitalistic social system. In his own words, Mr. Arrey said; “it is easy to forget the value of time when you have been numbed by the sensation of success.” As Mr. Arrey expresses in his memoirs, it is easy to forget the lessons of a reckless past or a successful past. But only an imaginative future can retain the critical essence of being. E.L.D.
