Sorrow of the Lion King

Lion King Like the fearless lioness She roams my heart. A vastness that a lion once claimed too. Today, he sits and ponders, Fields have grown and burnt, Moons have come and rains too. Though signs of time were clear Our jungle king learned nothing. Today a lingering tiger stands Watchful but grabbing in his sight. Taking what he can from the lion. But how can this be When tigers barely meet lions? I know, I know. The lioness. But how? A lioness and a tiger? Yes, yes, a rare kind of lioness. Protector of the last true idea. The love of our lion king. A stake one may not loose. Edmond Arrey
